GP Referral

As with any new appointment, a referral from your GP is necessary to attract the full Medicare rebate. GPs can refer a patient online.

Fees & Billing

For patients with private health insurance with hospital cover, there will be no gap required for the delivery of your baby. Dr Sheahan will accept the health fund amount only.

Please bear in mind that throughout your pregnancy you may require services from other providers who have separate fees and billing outside of Dr Sheahan’s. Some examples are pathology tests and scans as well as Anaesthetic and Paediatric services.

For Gynaecological procedures Dr Sheahan accepts the health fund amount for patients with private health hospital insurance i.e. No Gaps.

Because of the range of IVF services, Dr Sheahan provides quotes on a case by case basis.
